Business related to the installation of EV chargers on public roads

Yokohama City and e-Mobility Power Co., Ltd. have concluded a "Collaboration Agreement for Promoting the Promotion of EVs in Yokohama City" as one of the initiatives to realize the decarbonization "Zero Carbon Yokohama" by 2050. In the city, we will create an environment where it is easy to ride electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHVs) (hereinafter collectively referred to as "EV") in the city, as "EV") and plug-in hybrid vehicles (hereinafter collectively referred to as "EV") and charging infrastructure ※1 We are actively working to create new systems that contribute to the expansion of our business.
To date, we have implemented a business to install quick chargers for electric vehicles on public roads at three locations: Aoba Ward (first in Japan*2: from June 2021), Tsuzuki Ward   (February 2023), and Naka Ward (December 2023).

※2 Excludes parking zones (roadside stations, service areas, parking areas) that are treated as public roads

・March 2020: Yokohama City and e-Mobility Power Co., Ltd. signed a partnership agreement
・September 2020: Adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) on-site demonstration experiment of new road-related initiatives (Social Experiment Reiwa 2-3)
・June 2021: Demonstration experiments on public roads for installation of EV chargers (Shiratoridai, Aoba-ku)
・February 2023: Demonstration experiments on public roads for installation of EV chargers (Centerminami Station Rotary)
・December 2023: (Shinko Chuo Hiroba, Minato Mirai 21)
・April 2024: From demonstration experiments to commercialize

The installation of public roads for chargers, which has become common in Europe, where EVs are spreading, will become a valuable charging place in urban areas, and will lead to a sense of security that the charging infrastructure is substantial. We are implementing business as a useful measure that contributes to the promotion of EVs.
