Illumination event: Next-generation vehicles were exhibited at Yokohama <Yornoyo 2023>, a light that appears at night.
Last Updated January 4, 2024
At Yornoyo 2023, we supplied electricity from next-generation vehicles to illuminations.
Based on the Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan, Yokohama City has concluded a cooperation agreement with 12 automakers and dealers to promote the spread of next-generation vehicles in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. We are working on PR of next-generation vehicles.
As the third initiative based on the cooperation agreement, we provided electricity to illuminations during the event period of "Yornoyo 2023 of Light that appears at night".

What is an electric vehicle (EV)?
It is a car that runs by moving the motor with charged electricity.
What is a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHV)?
A hybrid vehicle (HV) running with both a gasoline engine and a motor is equipped with an even larger battery so that it can be plugged in and charged from a household power supply.
It is possible to run with only the power supplied, and if it is a short distance travel like a city ride, it can run only with a motor, thus reducing CO2 emissions during driving.
What is a fuel cell vehicle (FCV)?
It is a car that runs using electricity generated by the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen. Unlike gasoline cars, it runs by moving the motor instead of the engine.
