Promote the spread of next-generation vehicles

Next-generation vehicles are electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles.
It is an environmentally friendly car that emits little or no emission of air pollutants, nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide, etc., which cause global warming when driving.
1 Installation of charging facilities in public facilities
We have installed charging facilities for electric vehicles, etc. in public facilities.

2 Subsidies and financing systems for next-generation vehicles
●Subsidy system of city
As part of measures to combat global warming, we provide assistance to hydrogen supply facilities, fuel cell vehicles (FCVs), and charging facilities for electric vehicles for apartment.

●City financing system
Those who purchase new vehicles for next-generation vehicles (electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, fuel cell vehicles) are required to borrow funds required for purchase by the Yokohama City Small and Medium Enterprise Loan Program "Decarbonized Yokohama Fund Mini". You can receive preferential treatment and credit guarantee fees.

3 Promote spread through events, etc.
In Yokohama City, in order to spread and promote next-generation vehicles, we are exhibiting next-generation vehicles and demonstrating external power supply at events such as the inhabitant of a ward festival.
Since electricity can be taken out from next-generation electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, it can not only be good for the environment, but also be used for emergency power supplies and demand response in the event of a disaster.

4 Agreement on Enlightenment of Next-Generation Vehicles
Based on the Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan, Yokohama City is promoting the spread of next-generation vehicles.
In order to further promote the spread, on November 1, 2022, among electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles with external power supply functions, we collaborated with businesses that handle passenger cars that can be purchased by the general public. We decided to promote enlightenment and concluded a cooperation agreement on dissemination enlightenment with a total of 12 automakers and dealers.
In the future, we will develop various initiatives in cooperation with businesses that have concluded the agreement, which will lead to the spread of next-generation vehicles.

As the second initiative of this agreement, the Zero Carbon Yokohama Next-Generation Vehicle Test Drive in Minato Mirai was held on February 23, 2023.

Yokohama of light that appears at night <Yornoyo 2023>
As a third initiative under this agreement, we are currently supplying electricity from next-generation vehicles to illuminations at Yokohama <Yornoyo 2023>, which will appear at night from November 27, 2023.
Past Initiatives (Agreement on Enlightenment of Fuel Cell Vehicles)
From December 16, 2020 to March 31, 2022, the Agreement on Enlightenment of Fuel Cell Vehicles was signed with Hyundai Mobility Japan Co., Ltd. (currently Hyundai Mobility Japan Co., Ltd.)

5 Introduce next-generation car initiative in public cars
Yokohama Municipal Bus (FC Bus)
Under the Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan, we aim to decarbonize by 2050 with the goal of "Zero Carbon Yokohama". In addition, in the revised Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan (City Hall Edition), Yokohama City Hall, one of the largest greenhouse gas emission companies in the city, is taking the initiative in reducing emissions and introducing next-generation vehicles into public vehicles.
