Promotion of Next-Generation Vehicles

Next-generation vehicles refer to electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles.
It is an eco-friendly vehicle that emits less or emits air pollutants and nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide that cause global warming when driving.
1 Installation of charging facilities in public facilities
We have installed charging facilities for electric vehicles and other facilities in public facilities.

2 Subsidy and financing system for next-generation vehicles
●Auxiliary system of city
As part of our global warming countermeasures, we provide assistance to hydrogen supply facilities, fuel cell vehicles (FCVs), and charging facilities for electric vehicles for apartment.

●City's financing system
Those who purchase new next-generation vehicles (electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, fuel cell vehicles) will be able to borrow the funds necessary for purchase by the Yokohama City SME financing system "Decarbonization Yokohama Fund Mini".・ Credit guarantee fee subsidy can be received.

3 Promotion through events, etc.
In order to promote and promote next-generation vehicles, Yokohama City conducts exhibitions of next-generation vehicles and demonstrations of external power supply at events such as inhabitant of a ward festival.
Electricity can be extracted from electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles, which are next-generation vehicles, so they can be used not only for the environment but also for emergency power supplies and demand response in the event of a disaster.

4 Agreement concerning the spread of next-generation vehicles
Based on the Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan, Yokohama City is promoting the spread of next-generation vehicles.
To further promote the spread of this, on November 1, 2022, we have concluded a partnership agreement with a total of 12 automakers and dealers to promote awareness raising awareness among electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles with external power supply functions, and concluded a partnership agreement with a total of 12 automakers and dealers.
In the future, we will develop various initiatives in cooperation with the companies that have concluded the agreement, which will lead to the promotion of next-generation vehicles.

"Zero Carbon Yokohama Next-Generation Automobile Exhibition in Minato Mirai" was held on November 3, 2022 as the first step under this agreement.

Zero Carbon Yokohama Next-Generation Vehicle Test Drive Event in Minatomirai
As the second part of this agreement, "Zero Carbon Yokohama Next-Generation Vehicle Test Drive Event in Minato Mirai" was held on February 23, 2023.

Yokohama of light appearing at night (Jornoyo 2023)
As the third part of this agreement, we are currently supplying illuminations from next-generation vehicles to illuminations at Yokohama (Yornoyo 2023), which will appear at night from November 27, 2023.
Past Initiatives (Agreement concerning the spread of fuel cell vehicles)
From December 16, 2020 to March 31, 2022, we signed an agreement on the spread of fuel cell vehicles with seven companies, including Kanagawa All Toyota dealers, and Hyundai Motor Japan Co., Ltd. (now Hyundai Mobility Japan Co., Ltd.).

5 Introduction of Next-Generation Vehicle Initiatives in Public Vehicles
Yokohama Municipal Bus (FC Bus)
The Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan calls for Zero Carbon Yokohama, and aims to decarbonize by 2050. In addition, in the revised Yokohama City Global Warming Countermeasures Action Plan (City Hall), Yokohama City Hall, one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters, is taking the initiative in realizing Zero Carbon Yokohama.
