Information on registration change of directors following the revision of the Act on Promotion of Specified Nonprofit Activities

In June 2011, with the aim of further supporting the activities of non-profit corporations (NPOs) and strengthening the financial base, the Act on Promotion of Specified Non-Profit Activities (NPOs) and strengthening the establishment of a financial base. Law) was revised and came into effect on April 1, 2012.

Along with this, a part of the registration order for unions, etc. was amended in accordance with Article 2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Ordinance for the Promotion of Specified Non-Profit Activities, and if the Articles of Incorporation stipulates that a specific director (such as the president) has the right to represent, Only that specific directors are registered.

The articles of incorporation currently in use restricts the right to represent directors (e.g., "The President represents this corporation and presides over its business." If there is a need to change the entry at the relevant Legal Affairs Bureau (Yokohama Legal Affaires Bureau) within six months after April 1, 2012.

Conventional registration

Even if the Articles of Incorporation stipulates that a particular director has the right to represent, all directors will be registered.

Registration from April 1, 2012

If the Articles of Incorporation stipulate that a specific director (e.g., the President) has the authority of representation, only the specific director shall be registered.
