[Effective in June 2021] Information accompanying the revision of the Act on Promotion of Specified Non-Profit Activities

On December 2, 2020, the "Act on Partial Revision of the Act on Promotion of Specified Non-Profit Activities (Act No. 72 of 2020)" was enacted, promulgated on December 9, 2021, and came into effect on June 9, 2021.

Points of changes due to the revision of the NPO law
Matters related to all NPOs
- The inspection period at the time of application for certification will be reduced from one month to two weeks, and the announcement of the application will be changed from the Yokohama City Newsletter to the Yokohama City homepage.
- Address is not subject to disclosure of the list of officers at the time of viewing and copying conducted in Yokohama City.
※Masking (black painted on the Address area) will be carried out in Yokohama, so please list Address as before when submitting a list of officers.
- In principle, seal with corporate seals in various forms submitted to Yokohama City is no longer required.
※There are some documents that will continue in seal.
Matters related to certification, special certification, and designated corporations
- It is not necessary to submit documents stating "Matters related to business fees, conditions, and other contents related to the transfer of assets, etc."
※The target is documents to be prepared and submitted in the fiscal year beginning on or after June 9, 2021.
- Submissions can be omitted if there is no change from the one already submitted to the "Executive Remuneration Regulations" and "Staff Salary Regulations".
※Since Yokohama City has already taken the same measures, there will be no change in the response due to this law revision.
※It is mandatory to submit new documents describing the status of remuneration, etc. for officers.
