Request a certificate of singleness at the counter
This is the procedure for obtaining a certificate of singleness at the counter. You can get it at the ward office. A singleness certificate proves that it does not violate the provisions of Article 732 of the Civil Code "Prohibition of Heavy Marriage". This is a certificate to be submitted to a domestic marriage information service or marriage counselor to prove that the claimant is single.

What you need
1. Invoice
- Please obtain the invoice from a marriage information service or a marriage consultant.
- If you are not available from the vendor, please receive the invoice at the Family Registry Division of each ward office.

2. Identification documents for the person coming to the counter
- Driver's license
- Passport (passport)
- My Number Card (Personal Number Card) or Basic Resident Register Card with Photo
- Residence Card or Special Permanent Resident Certificate

- If you do not have the above documents, you will be asked to verify your identity verification documents such as your health insurance card, pension notebook or basic number notice at the counter by asking questions such as verbal questions.
