Application requirements
- Either the person or guardian has been living in the city for more than one year.
- Have a certificate of the physically disabled.
- Being enrolled in the following schools and aiming for social independence.
A High School (including majors and separate courses)
(A) Secondary Schools (including majors and separate courses)
(C) National College of Technology 3rd grade or less (private only)
(D) High Schools for Special Needs Schools (including majors and separate courses)
University (including junior colleges, graduate schools, professional colleges and junior colleges)
(F) Grades 4 and 5 of National College of Technology
(K) Vocational schools and various schools
(C) Teacher Training Organization
※Please note that high schools, etc. that are subject to the "Law Concerning the Payment of High School Enrollment Support Funds" are not eligible for national and public ordinary courses. . In addition, depending on the type of school, there are requirements that are not applicable, such as in the case of national public schools. Please be sure to check the application guidelines.
- Good academic performance.
The average evaluation of all courses in the previous fiscal year was 3.00 or more.
However, if the course has physical education or health and physical education, the evaluation may be excluded.
- Belong to a household where it is deemed difficult to bear the financial resources.
The annual income of the highest income earner who is responsible for the livelihood of the applicant must be less than the income standard (*) set by the city. - Other requirements

Within the regular training period at each school, etc., one year from April 2024 to March 2025
Payment method
After notifying the recruitment decision, the payment amount for one year (monthly payment x 12 months: only for April) will be transferred to the designated financial institution account in a lump.
Monthly payment
In addition to the monthly payment, there is an addition of 5,000 yen only for April as a payment at the time of enrollment or enrollment.
In addition, the amount of payment (both monthly and additional amount) may be reduced because it will be paid within the budget.

Payment period

How to apply
Applicants must submit documents to schools, etc., and submit them to Yokohama City within the application period.
- Applicants must fill out the “Application Form for Scholarship Students with Disabilities (Form No. 1)”, prepare the required documents, and submit it to the principal, etc. (Dean in the case of university, Dean in the Graduate School/Dean in the case of a faculty or teacher training institution).

If you are unable to issue a “Recommendation Certificate” or “transcript” because you have graduated from your previous school for more than 5 years, you will be able to submit a “Recommendation Certificate” instead.

The results of the selection will be notified to the school where you are enrolled and the applicant by the end of July.
Return of this scholarship
In principle, this scholarship is not required, but scholarships must be refunded if any of the following special reasons apply.
