Start of fare discount system for trains, etc. in the Health and Welfare Handbook for Mentally Handicapped

From April 1, 2025, a passenger fare reduction column will be provided in the Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook.

In order to receive discounts on train and bus fares, you will need to indicate the reduction of passenger fares in your notebook (Type 1 / Type 2).
Those with a disability grade of 1 are classified as "Type 1", and those of 2nd and 3 are classified as "Type 2".
The handling of eligible persons, handling sections, discount rates, caregivers, etc. differs depending on each transportation company.

Those who need to apply

Those who currently have a valid notebook and wish to receive a railway discount after April 1, 2025

※If a new notebook is issued for those who apply for the Mental Handicapped Health and Welfare Handbook after January 2025 (new, out-of-city transfer, update (all renewal columns are filled), grade change, re-issue) ) Is not necessary to apply because you will receive a notebook with the type printed in advance.
※If you do not have a photo attached to your notebook, you will not be eligible for the discount.　Please apply for re-grant (with photo).

①Write in the memo, "I want you to send me a fare discount application form."
➁Write your Address name on a regular envelope and put a 110 yen stamp.
➂①Put (8) in an envelope and send it to the paperwork center.

How long will the seal be delivered?

It will be shipped around 10 days after acceptance with no incomplete application.
※It will be shipped sequentially from January.

What should I do if someone other than the person wants to apply?

In the case of online application, please fill in the proxy application input field, fill in the applicable items, and in the case of mail application, fill in the name, relationship with the person, Phone number, and apply. However, the destination of the sticker is resident certificate of the target person or Address where the destination is set.

I lost or damaged the seal.

If the contents of the application form match with the Phone number listed on the customer's name, date of birth, and application form, we will resend the seal.

What should I do if my notebook has expired and I want to apply for a sticker?

Please apply for a seal after applying for reapproval of your notebook.
If all fields describing the next expiration date are listed, you will be issued a new notebook when you apply for reapproval, so there is no need to apply for a seal.
※The column for describing the next expiration date can be confirmed on the right side for paper style notebooks and on the back for card style notebooks with "Update (self) to (to)" on the back.

What should I do if I do not have a photo attached to my notebook?

If you do not have a photo attached to your notebook, you will not be able to receive a discount.
Please submit a photo of your face and apply for a reissue.

Other local governments seem to support stamps, but is Yokohama City only support stickers?

Yokohama City will only support seals.
