What kind of benefits are the welfare allowance for children with disabilities?
Last Updated October 27, 2021
This is an allowance for those under the age of 20 who have severe mental or physical disabilities and need regular care in their daily lives.
Target person
Children with disabilities at home (under 20 years old) who need constant care. (Those with the most severe disability)
There is a review of this allowance. In addition, there is an income limit for the person and his / her family, and depending on the amount of income, benefits may not be paid. I check my income around August every year.
Also, if you enter a facility or receive a disability pension, you will lose your eligibility.
For more information, please contact Health and Welfare Center in your district.
Monthly and timing of payment of allowance
The amount of the allowance is 14,880 yen per month (as of April 1, R3).
Payment will be made in February, May, August, and November.
