How to enter the restricted area from July 1, 2014

 In the restricted areas of public facilities (conventional RORO) where City of Yokohama, Port and Harbor Bureau is the wharf security manager, all persons who intend to enter the restricted areas from July 1, 2014 will be asked to confirm their identity, affiliation, and purpose.
 For this reason, we ask that you understand and cooperate with the following items when entering the restricted area.
 Please note that if you cannot confirm the three points, you will not be able to enter the restricted area.

What is the difference?

 Based on the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Notification No. 251 (March 30, 2010), the following three points will be confirmed for all those who are going to enter the restricted area from July 1, 2014. .

  1. Identity verification: Confirm the identity of the person by collating with the photo of the ID card.
  2. Confirmation of affiliation: Confirm the establishment to which you belong using the information on your ID card.
  3. Purpose Confirmation: Confirm the purpose of entry by checking the carry-out slip, etc.

 In order to confirm the three points with an ID card, etc., be sure to stop at the entrance of the restricted area and present your ID card etc. to the guard at the entrance of the restricted area.

Abolition of restricted area entrance certificate and vehicle traffic certificate

 Due to the implementation of the three-point confirmation, as of June 30, 2014, the "Restricted Area Entrance Certificate" and "Vehicle Pass Certificate" issued by the City of Yokohama, Port and Harbor Bureau have been abolished.

※Please return the “Restricted Area Entrance Certificate” and “Vehicle Pass Certificate” to Yokohama Port Wharf Co., Ltd. along with the “Notification Certificate” that describes the required items for each business operator. About PS (port security) card

 We recommend that you use a PS card that can perform "identity verification", "affiliation confirmation" and "purpose confirmation" at the same time as an ID card for three-point confirmation, so if you do not have a PS card, please apply for and obtain a PS card.
 In addition, as certain requirements are required for application and acquisition of PS card, please confirm in detail on Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism homepage (outside site).

For those who do not have a PS card

 When entering the restricted area, in order to confirm the three points, in principle, present the security guard an identification card such as an employee ID card with a photo of the face and an identification card that can confirm the purpose of entry, etc. It is necessary to fill in the name, affiliation, purpose of entry, etc. in the ledger, and receive a temporary entry permit loan.
 Please note that if you cannot confirm the establishment and purpose to which the person entering the restricted area belongs to any method in order to receive the loan, you will not be able to enter without renting a temporary admission permit.

How to enter the Container Terminal at Yokohama Port

 Please contact the administrator of each container terminal for information on how to enter the container terminals at Honmoku Wharf, Daikoku Wharf, and Minami Honmoku Wharf at Yokohama Port.
