The disaster drill will be implemented using an enclave in the Ikego residential area (Yokohama city area), a US military facility.

　The "Ikego Residential Area and the Enclave of Navy Auxiliary Facilities (Yokohama City Area)" has been agreed to return at the Japan-US Joint Committee in 2004, but has not yet been returned. In addition, although it is designated as a evacuation area in this area, since it is a U.S. military facility, it is currently surrounded by fences and the entrance is locked, making it impossible to use it promptly in the event of a disaster.

　For this reason, we have been making adjustments with local people and related parties to ensure that the function of the evacuation sites is ensured. The disaster drill will be organized by the Neighborhood Associations Federation of Rokuura Nishi District so that adjustments can be made and prompt use is possible.
