Every year, Yokohama City holds “Mental Education Contact Concerts” for all municipal elementary schools, compulsory education schools (1st grade out of 4th to 6th graders) and elementary schools of special needs schools.
About 31,000 elementary school studenｔs in the city provide opportunities to listen to the performances of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, improve their sensibilities for music, foster the qualities and abilities to live richly, and learn manners when watching classical concerts.
