The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) commends schools, libraries, and organizations (individuals) who have implemented distinctive and excellent practices in order to contribute to the further promotion of reading activities.
In Yokohama, two schools, Enokigaoka Elementary School (Aoba Ward) and Susukino Junior High School (Aoba Ward), one of the Midori Library (Midori Ward) and one of the Aoba Story Festival Executive Committee (Aoba Ward) were selected as one of the "Aoba Story Festival Executive Committee" in 2019.
