The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) commends the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to schools, libraries, and organizations (individuals) who practice distinctive and outstanding practices in order to further promote reading activities.
In Yokohama, two schools, Enokigaoka Elementary School (Aoba Ward) and Susukino Junior High School (Aoba Ward), one of the Midori Library (Midori Ward), and one of the Aoba Ohanashi Festival Executive Committee (Aoba Ward) were selected as "Students for Children's Reading Activities" in fiscal 2019.
