Information on simulation training and previews for returnees and contacts for measures against new influenza in FY2019

Yokohama City will set up a temporary “Returnee / Contact Outpatient” (* 1) on Thursday, November 14 at Saint Marianna University School of Medicine, Yokohama City Seibu Hospital (Director Yoshio Taguchi) to conduct new influenza countermeasures training.
In the training, it is assumed that a patient suspected of a new strain of influenza has consulted a returnee / contact outpatient clinic, and used the actual returnee / contact outpatient clinic that was actually installed to prevent infection of healthcare workers and patient flow. Check and verify outpatient management issues.
This year, we will conduct training assuming a case where foreigners introduced from the "Returnee / Contact Consultation Center" (* 2) when going to an outpatient clinic, we will conduct training assuming a case study using communication boards and translators. .
(*1) “Returnees and Contact Outpatients”: This is a specialized outpatient clinic such as a prefabricated facility that provides consultation for returnees from the country where the new influenza occurs and has fever and respiratory symptoms. It is installed at the time of outbreak in 18 medical institutions in the city that have concluded an agreement in advance.
(*2) “Returnees/Contact Center”: This is a telephone consultation service set up at a public health center that provides consultation and outpatient consultations for those returning from countries where the new influenza occurs and who have fever and respiratory symptoms and adjust outpatient consultations.
