Specific Process

Intermediate inspection (specific process)

  • Intermediate inspection is performed when the total area of the building unit of the confirmation application is 50 m2 or more.

  • In Yokohama, an interim inspection system was implemented in July 1999.
    Buildings for which a certificate of completion has been issued after that, an intermediate inspection is required when the specific process specified in the table below is reached.

※1. Buildings that have been certified by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism under the provisions of Article 68-25 of the Act pursuant to Article 20, Paragraph 1, Item 1 of the Act.
※2. Buildings to which the provisions of Article 7-3, Paragraph 1, Item 1 of the Building Standards Act are applied (all apartments) with 3 or more floors in RC and SRC buildings with 3 or more floors (all including apartment houses) , The following implementation process will be used.

※3. In accordance with the provisions of Article 68-11, Paragraph 1 of the Act, buildings pertaining to the certification manufactured by a person who has been certified by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism as a manufacturer of type members, etc.
※4. Buildings approved by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism according to the provisions of Article 68-25 of the Act, pursuant to the provisions of Article 68-25 of the Act.
※5. If there is an underground garage other than the above, the specific process may be changed regarded as a building without a basement. For more information, please refer to the page on inspection of underground garages.

Precautions
・Only after receiving the intermediate inspection pass certificate has been issued, you cannot proceed to the subsequent process.
In addition, you may be punished if you do not receive a statutory intermediate inspection or completion inspection.
・When performing construction, be sure to post the confirmed bulletin board in an easy-to-see place. In addition, please post the name of the construction supervisor and the contact information of the construction supervisor or construction builder on the bulletin board.
・If the contents of the confirmation application form and the contents of the construction are different at the time of the inspection, we may not proceed to the next process. If any changes occur, please consult us in advance.

  • About floor area to be inspected
    The floor area to be inspected varies depending on the structure and number of floors of the target building.
    Fees vary depending on the floor area to be inspected, so please fill out the application form so that there is no mistake.

・Completion inspection will be conducted for all buildings.

  • About floor area to be inspected
    Regardless of the presence or absence of an intermediate inspection, it will be the target total floor area at the time of confirmation application.
