If you are a staff member working at a nursing care site and have any problems with rants or violence from a user or his / her family, first consult the Harassment Consultation Center.

Business Overview
In Yokohama-shi, we carry out "Harassment measures business for care company" from April, 2024 so that person working in care establishment in Yokohama-shi and elderly person facility can work in peace. .
The main business details are as follows.

1 Establishment of a harassment countermeasure consultation desk for nursing care providers
We have set up a dedicated window to receive consultation from nursing care staff, etc. regarding harassment (*) at nursing care sites received from nursing care service users and their families.
If you have any problems dealing with harassment received from users and their families at nursing care establishments or facilities for the elderly, please consult the following consultation center.
Consultations are accepted by phone or email.

There is no definitive definition for harassment, but this manual combines physical violence, mental violence, and sexual harassment as harassment at nursing care sites. Specifically, the following acts from nursing care service users and their families are collectively referred to as "harassment."
1) Physical Violence
Acts that use physical force to harm.
Example: Throw a cup, kicked, and spit.
2) Mental violence
The act of damaging or damaging an individual's dignity or personality by language or attitude.
Example: Screaming / shouting / irritating specific staff / Requesting unreasonable services saying "I'm just a matter of course."
3) Sexual Harassment
Sexual harassment, such as unwilling sexual invitations and requests for favorable attitudes.
Example: Touch/hugging your hands and arms without need, and speak up sexually during bathing assistance.
2. Establishment of a window for legal consultation
At the harassment countermeasures consultation counter for nursing care providers in 1, when consulting on difficult cases requiring legal consultation, we will guide you to the legal consultation counter.

3 Training for nursing care providers
We carry out training that the staff working in nursing care establishments and facilities for the elderly in Yokohama-shi can learn appropriate correspondence methods for troubles related to harassment with users.
The training is conducted twice a year using a video distribution method.
In addition to workshops, we also hold briefings at the Harassment Consultation Center using a video distribution method.
