If you are a staff member working at a nursing care site and have any problems with rants or violence from users or their families, please consult the Harassment Consultation Center first.

Business Overview

 In Yokohama-shi, we carry out "harassment measures business for care providers" from April, 2024 so that those who work at nursing care establishments in Yokohama and facilities for the elderly can work with peace of mind.
 The main business activities are as follows.
 (1) Establishment of harassment countermeasures consultation desk for nursing care providers
 (2) Establishment of a legal consultation desk
 (3) Conducting training for nursing care providers

※This project will be carried out by the Yokohama City to Wi Can Co., Ltd.

1 Establishment of harassment countermeasures consultation desk for nursing care providers

 Regarding harassment (*) at nursing care sites received from nursing care service users and their families, we have set up a dedicated window to receive consultations from nursing care staff.
 If you have any problems with harassment received from users and their families at nursing care facilities or facilities for the elderly, please consult the following consultation center.
 Consultations are accepted by phone or email.

Nursing care staff working at the following establishments and facilities in Yokohama City are eligible.

(1) Home Service Office

 Home care support, care prevention support, home-visit nursing care, home-visit bathing care, home-visit rehabilitation, home care management guidance, tsusho care, tsusho rehabilitation, short-term entrance life care, short-term nursing care, welfare equipment lending, specific welfare equipment sales

(2) Community-based service offices

 Regular patrol / ad-hoc home-visit nursing care, night-time home-visit nursing care, dementia-responsive outpatient care, small-scale multifunctional home care, nursing small-scale multifunctional home care, dementia-responsive cohabitation care, community-based specific facility resident life care, community-based nursing home for the elderly

(3) Elderly facilities

 Nursing homes for the elderly, nursing homes for the elderly, nursing care-type medical facilities, nursing care clinics, specific facility resident life care, nursing homes for the elderly, light-cost nursing homes, housing-type paid nursing homes

(※) What is Harassment in nursing care?
  (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
 Although there is no fixed definition of harassment, this manual combines physical violence, mental violence, and sexual harassment as harassment in the nursing care field. Specifically, the following acts from nursing care service users and their families are collectively referred to as harassment.

1) Physical Violence

Acts that use physical strength to harm.

Example: Threw a cup/ kick/spit

2) Mental violence

The act of damaging or damaging an individual's dignity and personality by language or attitude.

Example: Screaming / yelling a specific staff member / Request unreasonable service saying "I can do this much"

3) Sexual harassment

Sexual harassment, such as unwilling sexual invitations and requests for favorable attitudes.

Example: Touch / hug / arms without need to touch / hug / speak sexually while bathing assistance

2 Established a contact point for legal consultation

 If you receive a consultation on difficult cases requiring legal consultation at the Harassment Countermeasure Consultation Service for nursing care providers, we will guide you to a legal consultation desk.
 At first please talk with "Harassment Consultation Center for Yokohama-shi care companies" mentioned above.

3 Training for nursing care providers 

 We carry out training that staff working in nursing care establishments and facilities for the elderly to learn appropriate response methods for troubles related to harassment with users.
 The training is scheduled to be conducted twice a year online or on-demand basis.
 Once the details have been decided, we will inform you again.
