Requests to everyone-things that cannot be collected in the city-

Garbage that cannot be collected in the city

I would like garbage that cannot be collected in the city should not be put out at the collection point.
(Example) Large amounts of garbage such as moving, specific home appliances (air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers, personal computers), motorcycles, fire extinguisher, garbage generated from business
For details, please refer to the "garbage that cannot be collected in the city" page.

[Dangerous] Never mix products with built-in rechargeable batteries into plastic containers and packaging!

There is an increasing number of fire troubles at recycling factories caused by the discharge of electronic devices including lithium-ion batteries, such as mobile batteries, heated tobacco, and electronic devices batteries, into plastic containers and packaging.

Requests to everyone ~ To reduce garbage ~

3 manners for Seya residents.

Yokohama City is promoting the "Yokohama 3R Dream Plan" to reduce the total amount of waste and resources and to further reduce environmental impact.
In Seya Ward, we ask for your cooperation in reducing garbage in the "Three Articles of Seya Residents".
Article 1: Thorough separation! In particular, let's separate recycle paper, such as wrapping paper.
First of all, thoroughly separate and promote the recycling of usable resources. By the way, about 10% of the garbage collected as "burnable garbage" is recyclable recycle paper.
Article 2: After kitchen garbage drains the water! Let's dry the branches and grass before drying out.
About 80% of kitchen garbage is water. Cutting the water in kitchen garbage can reduce spoilage and odor of kitchen garbage.
Pruned branches and cut grass are naturally dried for 4 to 5 days, the moisture evaporate and become lighter, making garbage easier.
If the water contained in the garbage is low, the environmental impact of incineration is also reduced.
Article 3: It's a waste! Pay attention to the expiration date of untouched foods.
Food loss per citizen is as much as 28 kilograms per year. Reduce food loss by regularly checking the refrigerator and not overbuy food or making too much food.
