Transference and transfer procedures for those who have a My Number Card / Basic Resident Register Card (exceptions for moving in) Family Registry Division 894-8345 If you have a My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card, you will be notified of the transfer notice by mail in advance, and the procedure for moving will be completed at one visit to the window of the new municipal office.

When submitting a request for a copy of resident certificate or a certificate related to family register, please send it to the Yokohama City Mail Request Office. Requests by mail will take the total number of days of processing and round-trip mail delivery days. It is usually expected to take about 10 days from the time of posting the certificate, but it may take more days depending on factors such as postal circumstances and holidays, so please request in advance.
