Nice communication! (July 29, 2020)

I would like to introduce the duties of each ward office.

Last Updated July 29, 2020

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, business and local activities in various wards have been canceled this year, and I am full of disappointing feelings. The outbreak of infectious diseases continues to be in Kanagawa Prefecture, and I think that everyone will spend an inconvenient and uneasy day.
In addition, I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the heavy rain disasters in the West Japan and the Chubu region, mainly in Kyushu.
In Nishi Ward Office, we will work together to protect and support the safe living of inhabitants of a ward.
From this month, I would like to introduce the duties of the ward office for each section. We hope that you will feel closer to the ward office while having you know various duties and approaches, and we hope that you will be able to help you a little every day. In the first installment, I would like to introduce General Affairs Division.
We send information from each ward office section in public information Yokohama Nishi Ward version, Nishi Ward Twitter including this Nishi Ward homepage. Please take advantage of it.

Office Business Introduction [First] General Affairs Division

Nishi Ward is implementing disaster prevention measures in preparation for a disaster.

In July, record heavy rains continued every day in Kyushu and other parts of Japan, causing devastating damage. In recent years, heavy rains have become more frequent and severe, and it is very important to assume evacuation behavior in advance to protect yourself.
General Affairs Division is implementing disaster-prevention measures to create a safe and secure town in Nishi Ward by supporting the efforts of self support and community support in the region, conducting various disaster response drills, taking measures against infectious diseases at evacuation centers, and strengthening cooperation with disaster prevention organizations.

We perform government building management that took measures against COVID-19 infection.

We are making various efforts to improve the government building environment so that everyone coming to the ward office can file comfortably and safely. In response to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, we are taking measures against infectious diseases at the ward office, installing acrylic boards at the counter to prevent droplet infection, and disinfecting work in the government building to prevent contact infection .
In addition, in order to avoid congestion at the counter, businesses that can be processed by mail are posted on the Nishi Ward website, so we hope you can use it.

This year, the census will be conducted once every five years.

This year, a census will be conducted nationwide with October 1 as a reference date. The census is the most important statistical survey in Japan, conducted once every five years for all people and households residing in the country based on the law of the Statistical Law. As a result, the actual situation of Japan's population and households can be understood, so it is used as basic data for various administrative measures.
After taking measures against the new coronavirus infection, such as reviewing the survey method, we will conduct the survey from mid-September. Thank you for your cooperation.
