May 31 is "World No Tobacco Day" established by the World Health Organization (WHO). In addition, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare designates the period from May 31 to June 6 as "Non-smoking Week" every year. Smoking that causes serious health damage such as various lifestyle-related diseases and lung cancer. It is also a problem that passive smoking has an effect on health. Why don't you take this opportunity to think about the harm of tobacco for yourself, for your children, and for others around you?

2024 World No Tobacco Day Event & Gallery Exhibition

On May 29, World No Tobacco Day Event was held at the multipurpose hall on the first floor of the Minami Ward Hall.
With the help of Minami Ward Health Promotion Officers, we conducted blood vessel age measurement, panel display, and quiz on the prevention of passive smoking by the Minami Ward Regional Child Care Support Center Haguhagunoki.
In addition, with the cooperation of Minamiyoshida Elementary School, a non-smoking poster drawn by a sixth grader was exhibited. At the same time, the participants selected one of their favorite posters. The poster, which received the most votes, will be used throughout the year for Minami Ward Health and Welfare Division's campaign to prevent smoking cessation and passive smoking!

From June 4th to June 7th, we exhibited a non-smoking poster for sixth graders at Minamiyoshida Elementary School exhibited at the Minami Ward Hall 1F Gallery!

Healthy family non-smoking

At the World No Tobacco Day Event & Gallery Exhibition, we exhibited a non-smoking poster drawn by a sixth grader at Minamiyoshida Elementary School, but through posters drawn by children, we were able to think about the harm of tobacco and passive smoking at home and in the community Isn't it?
