Health activity promotion staff

Health activity promotion members are commissioned by the mayor at the recommendation of Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations. The term of office is two years. We work as a promoter of health promotion in each region.

<Main Activities> Health promotion activities in the community, provision of health promotion information to the community, cooperate with health checkups and child-rearing support projects sponsored by the Health and Welfare Center

1 Plan and practice health promotion activities.
[Example of Activity] Awareness-raising activities such as health checks, physical fitness measurements, walking and gymnastics classes, smoking cessation and promotion of health examinations
We tell local opinion and information to 2 ward offices and cooperate with health promotion business such as ward offices.
3 For the promotion of local health, we will develop activities tailored to the local situation, such as nursing care prevention, support for the elderly and child care support.

The Minami Ward Health Activity Promotion Committee has 314 people in 16 districts (as of August 1, 2018).
Currently, we are focusing on health promotion through walking and promoting awareness of specific health check-up and cancer screening.

1 Creation and distribution of health walking maps
We attended health walking class every district for three years from 2012 and made eight courses of "health walking map".
We distribute at ward offices and have you inflect for health promotion of many inhabitants of a ward. → To the "Health Walking Map" page
2 District Walking (organized)
In each district, we preside over about 3 to 5 km of walking for beginners, and many people participate.

Minami Ward has a low rate of specific medical examinations and cancer screenings under the Yokohama City National Health Insurance. Specific medical examinations and cancer screenings lead to prevention of illness and early detection and treatment of cancer, so we are calling for the significance of consultation.

Health activity promotion members also exhibit at the Minami Ward Health and Welfare Festival “Ikiiki Fureai Minami Nan Day” held on the first Sunday of October every year.
The health measurement meeting held on the second floor has become an annual event, and many people are looking forward to receiving it every year.

Apart from the activities of the entire ward, each district carries out a wide variety of health promotion activities, including gymnastics, health measurement meetings, and lectures.
