It is distributed at the Midori Ward Office, local child care support bases, open spaces for parents and children, green sports centers, and municipal nursery schools in the ward. In places other than the ward office, the number is limited.

Please submit use application in the middle of the year and notification of change of desired facility to ward office Children and Families Support Division of your ward. The deadline is the 10th of every month (Saturday, Sunday, or the last weekday opening day if it is a holiday). (Must arrive by mail)
For example, the deadline for application for use in December 2024 is Friday, November 8, 2024.
Attention: If the documents are incomplete, we may not be able to accept your application. Please apply with sufficient time for the deadline.

Notification of usage adjustment results will be sent around 25 days before the previous month.
In principle, those who have decided to use the service will be contacted by telephone separately after the 21st of the previous month.

The number of licensed nursery schools in Midori Ward will be updated on the first day of each month.
In addition, the “Nursery School Admission Status” (City of Yokohama, Child and Youth Bureau website) discloses the number of licensed nursery schools and the number of people waiting for admission in all wards of the city.

Currently, if you live outside Yokohama City and wish to use a licensed nursery school in Yokohama City, you will need to apply through your local government in principle.

If you are currently living in Midori Ward, Yokohama and wish to use a nursery school outside Yokohama, you must apply through the Midori Ward Office in principle.
Please be sure to check with your local government in advance the application deadline and required documents, and submit all required documents to Midori Ward Office Children and Families Support Division at least one week prior to the deadline.
If the documents are incomplete, we may not be able to accept the application, so please check carefully before applying.
If you do not plan to move out of Yokohama City, you will also need a set of application styles for Yokohama City, so please prepare them together.

When applying for childcare leave benefits, etc., you may need "documents proving that you could not enter a nursery school".
In Yokohama-shi, we apply for the use of nursery schools and issue "reservation letter of advice" to person who was put on hold. If you have received a "Pending Notice" and need a separate proof of being on hold ("Pending Certificate"), submit a "Pending Certificate Grant Application" to the ward office Children and Families Support Division. please.
Please note that the ward office cannot provide information on childcare leave benefits, so please contact your employer or Hello Work.
