Oral health classes for parents and children (FY2024)

To prevent caries in children, it is important to have a healthy mouth for parents and children.
In this classroom, dentists talk about periodontal disease and cavity prevention by dentist and inspect cavity, periodontal disease bacteria for parents.

About Oral Frail

What is a frail?

The condition in which muscle strength and mental and physical vitality decline as we get older is called "frail". The stage between health and disability (needs requiring nursing care) is called the "frail stage", and it is said that after this stage, the state of need for nursing care.

Relationship between Frail and Oral Frail

The deterioration of teeth and mouth condition (deterioration of oral function) is called oral flail. Oral frails have been found to be more likely to cause frail. It is important to keep in mind your dental health every day in order to live a healthy daily life.

Importance of chewing

Let's practice chewing 30 (Sanmaru)

By chewing more than 30 times a day, you can digest and absorb nutrients well.
In addition, the secretion of saliva is promoted, and various effects can be expected.

Do you have 8020 exercise?

It is said that people who have more than 20 remaining teeth get up and walk, are smooth, and that many people are spending their daily lives well. I want to leave 20 teeth at the age of 80 and enjoy daily meals with my own teeth.
To that end, regular dental checkups and daily brushing are important.

About the two major diseases of the mouth

Diseases in the oral cavity are mainly cavity and periodontal disease.
These diseases are causing tooth loss and chewing. If you have any discomfort with your teeth, consult your dentist as soon as possible.

What is a cavity?

It is a disease in which cavity bacteria produce acid from sugar, and the teeth melts by the acid.

What is periodontal disease?

A disease in which bacteria invaded through the gap (periodontal pocket) between teeth and gums (gingival) cause inflammation of the gums, and further dissolving the bones (alveolar bone) that supports the teeth and makes it loyal.

About regular medical examination

Regular checks with your GP is very important, even if your mouth is not particularly painful.
If you have a family doctor, please have a look at it regularly.

We carry out periodontal disease health check-up with the aim of promoting the prevention and early detection of periodontal disease, which is a major cause of tooth loss, and to support healthy and comfortable life in older age.
