Promotion of oral health in Dentistry, Yokohama

In Yokohama City, we are working on the promotion of Dentistry oral health so that citizens can maintain dental and oral health throughout their lives.

Through the promotion of dental and oral health, the roles of citizens, stakeholders such as dental care, stakeholders such as health care, and businesses, and Yokohama City so that citizens can spend a healthy and lively day every day. Basic measures are established.

We formulated the Yokohama City Dentistry Oral Health Promotion Plan as a field-specific plan for the Third Health Yokohama 21, which was formulated in March 2024.
The plan aims to promote Dentistry oral health by fully understanding the roles required by the government, related organizations and organizations so that citizens themselves can work on promoting dental and oral health in order to realize a healthy and affluent life.

We carry out periodontal disease health check-up with the aim of promoting prevention and early detection of periodontal disease, which is a major cause of tooth loss, and supporting a healthy and comfortable life in old age.

Periodontal disease, the leading cause of tooth loss, is known to be closely related to systemic diseases such as lifestyle-related diseases.
This is a classroom where you can review your oral health and learn the correct knowledge from dentists and dental hygienists about prevention and measures for periodontal disease.
