This area is currently used for small factories and idle waters. In February 2015, the Yokohama City Coastal Area Revitalization Master Plan was formulated, and the area around the Toshin Nagawa coastal area, including this area, was positioned as one of the new urban areas of Yokohama. In the future, in this area, as a district that will play a new city center in Yokohama, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive regional reorganization maintenance, such as realizing the advanced use of rational and sound land appropriate for the city center, as well as urban infrastructure development. .
For this reason, the "land readjustment project" was decided on a city plan in March 2017, and in June 2018, the establishment of the "Higashi Takashima Station North District Land Readjustment Association" was approved and the business was started. .
