Town development in the coastal area of Toshin Nagawa

A central location from JR Higashi-Knagawa Station to the coastal area, which connects the Minato Mirai 21 district, which is being developed as a new urban area for the waterfront, and the Keihin coastal area, where there is a concern that regional vitality will decline due to hollowing out of industry, etc. We are promoting reorganization to promote urban functions and port functions as the area around the Toshin Nagawa Seaside Area.

In March 2002, the Toshin Nagawa Coastal Area (approximately 170 hectares), which connects the coastal area of Yokohama, such as the Kannai and Minatomirai 21 districts, and the Keihin Coastal Area, was designated as a district that will lead the rehabilitation of the Keihin Coastal Area. As a result, the Toshin Nagawa Coastal Area has been designated as a 20-20 area.
In this plan, the formation of base zones is generally progressing as of the end of FY2018, the maintenance time. We will continue to strengthen cooperation among our bases.
