Town development on the Toshin Nagawa Coastal Area
Last update date April 6, 2021
About area around Toshin Nagawa coastal area
A key location from JR Higashi-Kannagawa Station, which connects the Minato Mirai 21 area, which is being developed as a new urban area on the waterfront, and the Keihin coastal area, where regional vitality is likely to decline due to hollowing out of industry, etc. As the “Toshin Nagawa Coastal Area”, we are promoting initiatives to promote reorganization that integrate urban and harbor functions.
About Toshin Nagawa coastal area reorganization maintenance plan
In March 2002, the Toshin Nagawa coastal area (approximately 170 hectares), which connects the coastal area of Yokohama, such as the Kannai and Minato Mirai 21 districts, and the Keihin coastal area, was designated as a district that will lead the regeneration of the Keihin coastal area. As a result of studying land use and infrastructure development, the Toshin Nagawa coastal area was formulated in March 2004.
As of the end of FY2018, the formation of a base zone is generally progressing as of the end of FY2018. We will continue to strengthen cooperation among sites.
