Initiatives in FY2023

■We started using the Keikyu Tomioka station square town development base.

In June 2023, we started utilizing a town development base named "Tomioka Pharmacy-mae Okamachi Living" in front of Keikyu Tomioka Station.

We are promoting activities to disseminate information on the region and become a base for regional exchanges and activities, and workshops and events for elementary school students were held with four people, the region, company, school, and the government.

From January 2024, once a month, the Children's Plaza, an event to create a playground for children, mainly for students from Yokohama National University.

■Holding of Okamachi Hiroba (October 29, 2023)

An event utilizing empty space in the area was held in the Tomioka area.

With the cooperation of local communities, companies, schools, and governments, a food corner, a hands-on corner, and a space to introduce community development activities were set up, and the food corner opened mainly at local shops and prepared a food and beverage space for artificial turf .

At the hands-on corner, shooting games related to upcycling activities by Koda Junior High School student council members and Kanazawa Ward's local Karuta "Kanakaru!" Many people enjoyed it at the plarail corner by local residents.

■Conducted a demonstration experiment with “local transportation” and “miokato” (December 1994-November 1995)

In the area on the west side of Keikyu Tomioka Station, we conducted a demonstration experiment of a shared transfer service throughout the year. For details, please refer to the following link.

■Issuance of Community Development Communication (November 2023)

Issued Town Development Communication No. 7.
Introduced the Keikyu Tomioka station square town development base, the Morimichi DIY event of the regional emergence leading project, and the Okamachi Hiroba event implementation report.

Initiatives in FY2022

  • Yokohama Tomioka Photo Festa Spring 2022 (March-June 2022)

      This project is part of the Tomioka Information Platform and Base Creation Project, a leading regional project.
      We held a photo contest in the Tomioka area. Approximately 400 entries were submitted.
      As a result of strict examination, excellent works selected from the submitted works are exhibited in the Tomioka Pharmacy Second Waiting Room.

  • Holding of Okamachi Hiroba (Tomioka district) (April 2022)

      "Vacant house WANTED!" of regional emergence leading project "Project to create bases around the town"
      Events utilizing empty spaces and parks in the Tomioka area were held.

            In vol.2, two venues can be moved back and forth with electric small carts. 

             

  

  • Holding of Okamachi II good thing Marche (Nokendai district)

      In the “Minna no Nokendai Mirai Base Project”, a regional emergence leading project.
      An event utilizing vacant lots in the Nokendai area (former site of the former Keikyu Service) was held.

  • Conclusion of a partnership agreement (July 2018)
    In the suburbs of Yokohama City, the population is declining and aging, and various issues such as enhancement of services that support life, securing local transportation, and maintaining communities have become apparent. We are promoting initiatives to realize a suburban area where everyone wants to live and wants to continue living.
  • Demonstration experiment using electric small low-speed vehicles (October 2018)
  • Holding workshops in the Nokendai area (January to April 2019)

Town Development Workshop (STEP0-STEP2)

Workshop STEP0


With the cooperation of officers of the Nokendai District Union Neighborhood Associations, we held a workshop to draw the appeal, challenges and ideal image of the city.

STEP1 (February 2020 to October 2020)

Venue: Tomioka Community Care Plaza / Nokendai Community Care Plaza (3rd only Yokohama City University Pioney Hall)
Participant: Residents of the Tomioka and Nokendai area and those who are active in the area by open call for participants, Yokohama City University students

Workshop STEP1


Participants gathered in both the Tomioka and Nokendai districts by open call for participants shared the charm and issues of the town and drew an ideal image of the town. Based on that, we considered seeds (ideas) for town development where regions, governments, companies and universities could collaborate.

STEP2 (November 2020 to February 2021)

Venue: Tomioka Community Care Plaza, Nokendai Community Care Plaza and Held in writing
Participant: Residents of the Tomioka and Nokendai area and those who are active in the area by open call for participants, Yokohama City University students

Workshop Workshop STEP2


In order to make the ideas of town development considered in Step 1 a concrete plan, share the process for realizing the plan, the role played by the four main actors of the region, the government, companies, and universities, and how to interact that individuals can do. I deepened my ideas.

Town development round-table conference

It is held as a place for regional representatives, store associations, academic experts, experts, the government, and Keikyu Electric Railway to discuss the direction of town development, the basic attitude of initiatives, and initiatives such as workshops.
We will continue to hold it as a place for information exchange and promotion of town development through collaboration between the four parties.
