Town development in the Tomioka and Nokendai Area

Keikyu and Yokohama City concluded an agreement in July 2018 to promote the development of towns that want to live, continue to live, and want to visit along the Keikyu Line (Southern Yokohama City). We work together on town development for improvement of attractiveness.
In the Tomioka and Nokendai areas, we are working on community development and the introduction of local transportation to solve problems and enhance attractiveness of the town.

In May 2021, Yokohama City and Keikyu Corporation published the "Tomioka, Nokendai Hill and Green Town Development IMAGE BOOK," a guideline for promoting community development, compiled through workshops and round-table conferences with local residents in the Tomioka and Nokendai areas.
"Basic attitude of town development" and "town development image (direction)" formulated through dialogue with local residents, such as town development workshops and community development round-table conferences, which were undertaken based on the cooperation agreement concluded in 2018, concrete in the future It summarizes the "Regional Evolution Leading Project", which we are working toward realization, and the history of our efforts so far.

In both Tomioka and Nokendai districts, project teams have been created based on the “Leading Project for Regional Evolution” and are working to realize the project. The latest information is also available on the following SNS, so please take a look.

In the area west of Tomioka Station, a demonstration experiment was conducted with Tomioka.

Tomioka and demonstration experiment (outside site)

"Tomioka Okamachi Hiroba vol3" was held at the "Hamato Neuro Clinic Parking Lot" in the Tomioka area.
On the day, there are food corners of local shops and experience corners such as Plarails and local carta.
We set up a okamachi corner to introduce initiatives for town development, and had visitors enjoy it.

The contents of the initiatives are summarized in the Community Development Newsletter.
It was distributed to the local community and distributed at Keikyu Group facilities in the district.
