When you come to the forest to play, please follow the manners and enjoy a walk.
・Collect native plants and creatures and do not bring them home. Also, do not bring plants or creatures from other places.
・When walking with your pet, please keep it connected.
・Do not go out of the road and enter places where entry is prohibited.

・Do not go off the road, do not throw away garbage, do not use fire, do not bring home creatures, use during the day, connect pets

Introduction of 5 Welcome Centers

In order to preserve the forest, it is important to increase the number of people involved in the forest. It is necessary to be interested in the forest and understand the importance of the forest by providing opportunities for the forest.
At the Welcome Centers located at five locations in the city, we provide information on forest creatures, experience nature, and provide opportunities for environmental learning to create opportunities related to forests.


The temple family and the four seasons house

Located in the northwestern part of the city, the surrounding area is maintained as a temple family hometown village. At the Teraya Hometown Village Shiki no Ie, panels and specimens on the agriculture and nature of the temple family are displayed, and information on walking around the forest of citizens is also introduced. . In addition to observing wildflowers and insects, we also conduct guided tours to introduce the hometown of the temple family.

Satoyama Exchange Center in Shinjiriyama Park

It is positioned as a base for large green belts in northern Yokohama. There is Shinji Satoyama Park, which has facilities such as the former Okutsu House, a forest of Shinji, which boasts an area of 67 ha. At the Niiharu Satoyama Exchange Center in the park, there are panel displays of Shinji's nature and satoyama culture, observation sessions, and satoyama experience classes. We also provide consultation and commentary on group use.

Environmental Activity Support Center Exchange Space

An exchange space is set up in a corner of the main building of Environmental Activity Support Center to introduce Yokohama's forest and tree panels, as well as information on flowers and creatures in the surrounding green spaces. In addition, we hold observation sessions for elementary school students and adults, and craft classes using natural materials.

Maioka Hometown Village Rainbow House

Located in the southern part of the city, the surrounding area is maintained as Maioka Hometown Village. In addition to exhibiting panels on the agriculture and history of Maioka, the nature and culture of satoyama, introducing information on strolling through citizens' forests, we also hold various hands-on classes such as bird watching sessions, photography classes, and photo exhibitions. .

Yokohama Nature Observation Forest Nature Observation Center

It is located in the green area around Mt. Enkai, located in the southern part of Yokohama city. A natural expert ranger will be stationed to explain in detail the creatures of the forest. In addition to many elementary school experience events and group use, we also hold many events by volunteer groups.
