(Tentative name) What is the Yokohama City Sewerage Inundation Countermeasures Plan?

 With the aim of further promoting the development of resilient towns that are resistant to rain based on the progress of inundation countermeasures and the effects of climate change, a new perspective of pre-disaster prevention has been adopted, and targets and measures for inundation countermeasures by sewerage in the future This is a master plan for inundation countermeasures that defines how to proceed.

Inundation Countermeasures Study Group based on Climate Change

In formulating a new inundation countermeasure plan, the “Inundation Countermeasures Study Group Based on Climate Change” discussed the issues that form the framework of the plan, such as the goals of inundation countermeasures and the concept of maintenance priority.

In light of the impact of climate change, we will strengthen rainfall (target development level) targeted for facility development by 1.1 times.

  • Pump drainage area: 57.9㎜/hr⇒63.7㎜/hr
