Yokohama City Automobile Pollution Prevention Plan
Last update date April 6, 2020
With the spread of automobiles, air pollution, noise and vibration caused by automobiles have occurred, mainly along roadsides with heavy traffic, and various efforts have been made in the national and local governments.
In March 1987, Yokohama City formulated the first automobile pollution prevention plan, and in line with this plan, promoted measures to prevent automobile pollution, such as promoting the spread of low-emission vehicles and vehicles with the latest exhaust gas compatibility. Based on the fact that the goals of this plan were largely achieved, the plan was completed in March 2018. Going forward, we will work on automobile traffic environment measures based on the Environmental Management Plan and the Living Environment conservation Promotion Guidelines.
