Diesel Vehicle Operation Regulations

[Regulations on Diesel Vehicle Operation] What is it?

Kanagawa Prefecture stipulated in the ordinance, but vehicles operating in Yokohama City have been transferred from the prefecture, and the city is responsible for it.
We are conducting inspections.

● Diesel vehicles (tracks, etc.) that do not conform to the emission standards for particulate matter (PM) emissions standards are prohibited.
● Even nonconforming vehicles can be operated by installing a particulate matter reduction device (DPF or oxidation catalyst)

(Operation Regulation)
○ Exceeding the emission standards stipulated in the ordinance (Article 96-3, Paragraph 1: Defines allowable limits) (Article 96-4: When a model designation is received
Specified vehicles (diesel vehicles prescribed in Article 86-2, Paragraph 1)
It must not be operated or operated in the prefecture. (Article 96-3, Paragraph 2)
○ Specific vehicles that have taken measures are deemed to meet emission standards (Article 96-5) and a grace period (from new vehicle registration) and a grace period (from new vehicle registration)
Operation restrictions do not apply to specific vehicles within 7 years). (Article 96-7)

(Operation Prohibition Order)
○ When it is recognized that a nonconforming vehicle is operating in the prefecture, it operates in the prefecture for the driver or user, and again.

(Penalties)
○ Anyone who violates the operation prohibition order pursuant to the provisions of Article 96-6 ... shall be liable to a fine of 500,000 yen or less. (Article 121-2)

[About the implementation status of on-site inspections]

◎ Inspection of diesel vehicles in Yokohama
In Yokohama, there are inspections (on-street inspections) that stop vehicles running on the road (street inspections), as well as sites where many vehicles gather, such as waste incineration plants and supermarkets.

◎ Automobile NOx/PM method (outside site)
Vehicles (Point A) whose base of use is registered in the following target areas in the prefecture according to the automobile NOx / PM law
If NOx or PM emissions do not conform to national standards (Point B) or PM emissions do not conform to national standards (Point B).
If you exceed the grace period determined according to the first registration date, you will not be able to pass the vehicle inspection. (Point C)

Zama City, Kanagawa City, Hayama Town, Samukawa Town, Oiso Town, Ninomiya Town, Oimachi Town, Aikawa Town, Joyamachou
