Living Environment conservation Promotion Guidelines

　Efforts to preserve the living environment, such as atmospheric and water environments have been centered on pollution control measures. However, the field of living environment is diverse, and various laws and ordinances have been maintained and revised, making it difficult for citizens and businesses to understand individual approaches.
　These guidelines aim to achieve the living environment goals set forth in the "Yokohama City Environmental Management Plan (revised in November 2018)" which is a comprehensive plan in the environmental field of Yokohama City. In order to promote understanding, we summarize specific approaches and policies implemented by Yokohama City in an easy-to-understand manner (developed in March 2019).

Basic Direction

Steady promotion ofconservation’s living environment

　In order to prevent the deterioration of the living environment from negative to zero and maintain it well, we will steadily promote regulatory guidance, environmental monitoring, complaint consultation based on laws and regulations related to typical seven pollutions that we have systematically worked on systematically until now. We will steadily promote information disclosure.

Promotion of new initiatives through collaboration

　Incorporating the concept of the "SDGs" that comprehensively addresses wide-area issues related to the environment, economy, and society from zero to a positive environment, and cooperate with other measures such as community development and global warming countermeasures. We promote new approach by cooperation with all entities including civic life by the next four policies.
