Living Environment conservation Promotion Guidelines

Efforts to preserve the living environment, such as the air environment and the water environment, have been centered on pollution control measures. However, the field of living environment is diverse, and various laws and ordinances have been maintained and revised, making it difficult for citizens and businesses to understand individual initiatives. .
These guidelines are based on the understanding of the living environment of citizens and businesses toward achieving the goals of the living environment set forth in the “Yokohama City Environmental Management Plan (revised in November 2018)”, a comprehensive plan in the environmental field of Yokohama City, This is a systematic and easy-to-understand summary of specific initiatives and policies implemented by Yokohama City to promote the promotion (developed in March 2019).

In order to prevent the deterioration of the living environment from negative to zero, and to maintain it well, we will steadily promote regulatory guidance, environmental monitoring, complaint consultation and information disclosure based on laws and regulations on typical seven pollution, which we have been systematically working on.
Promotion of new initiatives through collaboration
Incorporating the concept of "SDGs" that comprehensively addresses wide-area issues related to the environment, economy, and society toward a positive environment from scratch, cooperate with other measures such as town development and global warming countermeasures, and business activities We will promote new initiatives through cooperation with all actors, such as civil life, according to the following four policies.
