Business Overview
Tsuruyabashi Bridge is a bridge that connects 2-chome Tsuruyacho, Kanagawa-ku and 1-chome Minamiko, Nishi-ku, and spans Katabira River branch channel (formerlyAratama River).
More than 50 years have passed since the completion of the old bridge, Tsuruyabashi Bridge, was aging. In addition, the number of pedestrians per day was very large, about 50,000, but the sidewalk was narrow and hindered traffic, so replacement work was carried out.
After the replacement, the sidewalk was widened, earthquake resistance and flood control safety increased, and it was reborn as a safe and secure bridge.

Introduction of construction status
1.Construction of temporary work structures and temporary sidewalks
In order to remove the old bridge, a temporary work road and a temporary sidewalk will be constructed as a detour for pedestrians.

2.Removal of old bridges
Remove the superstructure (bridge girder / floor slab) and the substructure (bridge / abutment) of the old bridge.

3.Construction of substructures
The substructure of the new bridge (abutment) will be constructed.

4.Production and construction of superstructures
A new bridge superstructure (bridge girder / floor slab) will be produced and installed at the site.

5.Removal of temporary construction and temporary sidewalks
After the superstructure of the new bridge is installed, the temporary work platform and the temporary sidewalk, which will be a pedestrian detour, will be removed.

6.Completed
The bridge and surrounding areas are paved with asphalt to complete the new Tsuruyabashi Bridge.
