Progress of construction

This project started substructure work in 2019, and is proceeding with construction with the goal of completion in 2029.
In December 2021, we switched the roadway traffic to the temporary bridge installed on the downstream side, and started the removal of the existing bridge.
Removal of the existing bridge frame was completed in May 2023, and construction of a new bridge has been started since 2023!
Please refer to "Sueyoshi Bridge News" for details of construction progress.

Business

Business Overview

Sueyoshi Bridge is located on the prefectural road Tsurumi Mizonoguchi, designated as an emergency transportation road, and is an important bridge over the Tsurumi River. The up lane (upstream side) was constructed in 1950, and the down lane (downstream side) was constructed in 1964. It is hindering the safe traffic of pedestrians.
For this reason, in order to replace the building, we proceeded with surveys, design and discussions with related organizations as a joint project between Yokohama City and Kawasaki City in 2015, and started substructure construction work from FY2019.
