Shin-Urashima Bridge Replacement Business

We are promoting the replacement business of Shin-Urashima Bridge. At noon on Friday, January 12, 2018, we started service of new bridge.

In the future, we will remove the temporary humanitarian bridge that has already been closed and restoration work on land borrowed from local residents.

Shin-Urashima Bridge, which spans the second river of the Irie River in Kanagawa Ward, was built in the late Meiji era to the early Taisho (estimated). After that, Nippon Carbon Co., Ltd. used it as a dedicated bridge, replaced the girder in 1955, and in 1971 reinforcing the substructure and widened the sidewalk with the construction of the Metropolitan Expressway Yokohama Haneda Line, and in 1987 Yokohama City Has been transferred.
Due to deterioration over time, the strength of the piers and floor slabs has been reduced, and earthquake countermeasures are also urgently needed from the aspect of disaster prevention. We carried out maintenance of car sidewalk.
