Tenjin Bridge Replacement Business

Last update date April 5, 2018

Shimbashi was opened on March 12, 2018. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

Business Overview

Tenjinbashi is a bridge over the Horiwari River, a second-class river completed in 1927 (1927) as a reconstruction project after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
Approximately 90 years have passed since the construction, and the cross-section of the lower part of the floor slab, the exposure and corrosion of the reinforcing bars, the corrosion and distortion of bridge girder are progressing. Since there was no division of walkways, we have been promoting the replacement business since 2009.
The new bridge will widen the roadway and provide sidewalks on both sides to improve local traffic convenience and pedestrian safety.
In addition, the stretching sidewalk upstream of Tenjin Bridge, which was used as the Tenjinbashi bus stop, was also aging like Motohashi, so it was removed within the Tenjin Bridge rebuilding work of Tenjin Bridge, and a bus stop was newly installed on the lower side of Tenjin Bridge. Was installed.
