Tsurumi Ward Reading Activity Report (FY2019)
Last Updated date September 22, 2020
2019 “The Place where the story is born”
We invited Eiko Kadono, a writer of children's literature, to give a lecture entitled "The Story is Born" at Tsurumi University Hall on Sunday, February 23, 2020.
Kadono debuted in 1970 with "Louijinno Shonen" written based on his experience of living in Brazil. He talked about the source of his creation and the importance of getting acquainted with books from an early age, with his own story-telling.
He talked about the reasons for starting his creation and stories of childhood with humor.
There are many stories that are close to the children's hearts. On this day, I read the beginning of the work.
