There are about 4,000 species native to the Japanese Islands, which is said to be more than the whole of Western Europe. The opening and opening of the port at the end of the Tokugawa period will be a great business opportunity for horticultural trading companies in Europe and the United States, and Japan will also accept horticulture in Europe and the United States. Yokohama, the country's largest trading port, has become an important point of contact between the Orient and Western horticultural culture.
In this lecture, we will talk about Yokohama Port, which influenced the world of horticulture, such as lilies as export products, roses that are representative of outpatient horticulture acceptance and flowers in Yokohama City, and the people involved there.
