State subsidies
Agency for Cultural Affairs Grants and Support
Please confirm this (the Agency for Cultural Affairs homepage (outside site)) for the details of each business.
Prior coordination and consultation with the country, prefecture, and city may be required when applying for a business.

Kanagawa Prefecture subsidies
Subsidies for designated cultural property owners, etc.
In Kanagawa Prefecture, subsidies are issued for preservation and repair of national and prefectural designated cultural properties, etc. to preserve cultural properties.

In Yokohama City, subsidies are issued for the activities of intangible folk cultural property protection organizations (certified organizations), such as repairs of cultural properties such as national, prefectural, and city designations, to protect cultural properties.

This is a subsidy provided by the Arai Foundation to the field of cultural properties related to the preservation and utilization of historic buildings and cityscapes.

Foundation for the Protection of Cultural Properties and Art Research Grants for the preservation and repair of cultural properties (the project ended in 2024)
[Applicable to grant]
(1) Among prefectural or municipal designated cultural properties, arts and crafts, building cultural properties, or tangible folk cultural properties (monuments and intangible cultural properties) that are scheduled to be repaired as subsidized projects of prefectures or municipalities in FY2024 and are subject to the support of the Foundation.
(2) Cultural assets equivalent to (1) above, which are scheduled to be repaired in FY2024, and are specifically requested by the Prefectural Board of Education, etc., specifically by the Foundation.

Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life Cultural Foundation “Subsidy for Preservation and Maintenance of Local Traditional Culture” Program
This is a support project conducted by the Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life Cultural Foundation for the succession of local folk performing arts and folk techniques, especially for various activities to acquire skills necessary for fostering successors.
We are recruiting businesses for 2025 (from April 2025 to March 2026).
Primary recommendation (municipal Board of Education, public museums, academic experts, etc.) and secondary recommendation (recommendation of prefectural board of education or cultural section of governor's department) is required for application.
If you would like a primary recommendation by City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat, please consult with the Lifelong Learning and Cultural Properties Division of the City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat Secretariat (045-671-3284) in advance. Depending on the timing of your consultation, we may not be able to receive a recommendation.

Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Regional Culture Foundation
This is a subsidy program provided by the Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Regional Culture Foundation for activities in the fields of music, art, theater, and traditional performing arts that contribute to the promotion of local culture.
We are recruiting businesses for 2025 (from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026).

Arts and Culture Promotion Fund (Activities such as Promotion of Local Culture) Subsidy Program
This is a subsidy for activities conducted by the Japan Arts and Culture Promotion Association to create or spread art, and other activities aimed at promoting or disseminating culture.
In the support category of "Activities such as the promotion of local culture", we support the following activities in particular.
○Activities that contribute to the creation and dissemination of art in the region and the promotion of the region through these activities.
○Creation and dissemination activities of art that residents can independently appreciate and participate in
