Overview
In the residential display implementation area, a house number is assigned according to the location of the entrance of the building, and the Address is determined.
For this reason, when building a new building, rebuilding, or changing the doorway, etc., it is necessary to submit a building change notice to the Family Registry Division Registration Section in the ward where the building is located, and to be designated by the New Address.

- The lot number will be used as Address outside the residential display area. (Registration of building change is not required.)
- Notifications can be made by visiting the Family Registry Division Registration Section window in the ward where the building is located, or by mail, or online (Yokohama City Electronic Application and Notification Service).

Points to note

Precautions for mailing and online notification
●If there are any deficiencies or items you would like to confirm, the ward office will contact the reporter's Phone number or email address.
In addition, please note that you may have you come to the ward office as needed.
●When notification by mail, please fill in the following in the bottom margin of the building change notification.
・Types of buildings (detached houses, apartment, etc.)
・Total number of units and building name (in the case of apartment)
●If the house number display board is not required (listed on the nameplate, etc.),
・In the case of notification by mail, fill in the bottom margin of the building change notification
・In the case of online notification, select "Nonecessary" in the reception form.

●When sending the "House Display Notice" and "House Number Display Board", we will send it by ordinary mail. Thank you for your understanding.
●Due to reasons such as mailing days, it will take more days than notification at the counter.

Flow after notification
You will receive a "House Display Notice" and a "House Number Display Board".
