How to judge households with reduced income and sick households
We calculate by the following formula and judge exemption, reduction according to calculated "partial contribution reduction ratio".
Actual monthly income - Base living expenses (*) = Amount allocated to medical expenses
Required amount of partial contribution - medical expenses allocation amount = amount of partial contribution reduction measures
Partial contribution reduction measure amount ÷ Partial contribution required amount × 100 = Partial contribution reduction ratio
※Standard living expenses
The amount obtained by multiplying the standard living expenses stipulated in the standards for protection under the Public Assistance Act by 115.5%
0% or less: Not eligible for reduction
More than 0% and less than 20%: 20% reduction
More than 20% and less than 40%: Reduced by 40%
More than 40% and less than 60%: 60% reduction
More than 60% and less than 80%: 80% reduction
When more than 80%: Exemption
(Note 1) If assets such as deposits and savings are more than three months of the standard living expenses, they will not be eligible for reduction.
(Note 2) Even if the calculation result is exempted or reduced, if there is a certain income expected in the near future, the collection may be deferred for a certain period (1 month to 6 months). In this case, you will be required to pay a part of the contribution at the end of the collection grace period.
