Child Allowance - Overview

In order to provide appropriate support for children and child care, the Child Allowance aims to contribute to the stability of life in families and other areas by providing Child Allowance to those raising elementary school studenｔ,elementary school studenｔ, which will lead the next generation of society.

• Eligible recipients: Caregivers in elementary school studenｔ with resident registration in Japan
• Eligible elementary school studenｔ: elementary school studenｔ with resident registration in Japan until completion of junior high school　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　“Completion of junior high school” refers to the elementary school studenｔ between the ages of 15 and the first March 31.

　　Amount paid for raising elementary school studenｔ for second-year high school students, first-year junior high school, and 4th grade elementary school

• First child: High school second graders are not eligible for payment, but are counted as the first child.
• 2nd child: First-year junior high school students are eligible for payment. 10,000 yen per month
• Third child: 4th graders are eligible for payment. 15,000 yen per month

• Child Allowance will pay for the previous four months in October, February and June. [Ordinary payment]
• In Child Allowance, "1st year" is from June to May of the following year.
• Recipients must submit a status report in June every year.
• If you do not submit a status report, you will not be able to receive Child Allowance from June.

※The payment date will be around the 15th of the payment month. The specific payment date will be announced on the transfer notice postcard sent before the transfer.
