About Child Raising Allowance and disability pension

Until now, Child Raising Allowance eligible recipients of Disability Basic Pension, etc. did not receive Child Raising Allowance if the monthly amount of Disability Basic Pension, etc. exceeds the monthly amount of Child Raising Allowance, but after the March 2021 allowance, if the monthly amount of Child Raising Allowance exceeds the monthly amount of additional child such as Disability Basic Pension, the difference will be paid as Child Raising Allowance.
In addition, those who receive public pension (survivor's pension, old-age pension, work injury pension, survivor's compensation, etc.) other than Disability Basic Pension, etc., and those who receive only disability welfare pension class 3 are the same as before.

From March 2021, the allowance will be changed to include tax-exempt public pension benefits (*) in "income" related to payment restrictions for Child Raising Allowance eligible recipients of Disability Basic Pension, etc.

If you are already certified as eligible Child Raising Allowance, you do not need to apply. (Information will be sent separately.)
Others need to apply to the ward office Children and Families Support Division.

Normally, the allowance will be paid from the month following the application, but the following transitional measures have been set for requests for certification from eligible recipients who are subject to this system revision.
(1)If a person who filed a request for certification between March 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021 actually met the payment requirements on March 1, 2021 (unless applicable to the payment requirements on the same day) ) Will be paid from March of the same year.
(2)Those who have taken the procedure for requesting certification between March 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021 did not meet the payment requirements on February 28, the same year, and by June 30, the same year If you meet the payment requirements, you will be paid from the month following the month in which the payment requirements are met.
