About 2012 child abuse measures cooperation reinforcement project report

Last Updated March 6, 2019

Purpose

In Yokohama-shi, we set up "child abuse measures project" across ward bureau in agency in 2010 and compiled report and worked on eight measures as "child abuse measures" from 2011 with emphasis on eight measures as "child abuse measures" .

Children and Families Support Division and children's guidance office are at the core of support in dealing with child abuse, and differences in the legal authority and position of each institution, there may be differences in the direction of support, such as how to perceive the risks in case studies and the content of support.
In order to achieve the common goal of "protecting children's lives" and "supporting parents who are worried about raising children", it is necessary to take appropriate measures so that these differences do not leak out support between institutions.

Therefore, in October 2012, a project centered on the staff of Children and Families Support Division Ward and children's guidance office was set up in October 2012 with the aim of further promoting measures against child abuse by strengthening cooperation between the two organizations. Was compiled.
Going forward, we will incorporate the specific countermeasures proposed in this report into the eight measures of "Child Abuse Countermeasures" and will continue to promote them integrally.

Outline of the report

(1)The basic concept of cooperation between the ward and the children's guidance office is "partners of support."
We aim to realize "structural reform of roles" through "collaboration utilizing their respective roles."

(2)Responsibilities of the 1st District and children's guidance office and 2 Case Management.
We examined five items: "3 Support measures to be tackled", "4 human resource development", and "5. System development to promote cooperation".

(3)For further enhancement, we examined legal system issues and support for school age.
