What is a small-scale childcare business?

In child, child care support new system that began in April, 2015, it is business newly made as one of authorized business (local type childcare business) of the municipalities.
It is a relatively small facility with a capacity of 6 to 19 people for children aged 0 to 2 years, and provides detailed childcare that takes advantage of the characteristics of the scale.

What kind of facility is it?

The types of facilities are divided into type A, type B, and type C, and the number of qualified persons among the capacity and childcare workers is different.

Placement ratio

One for every three 0-year-olds, one for every six 1-2-year-olds, and one additional childcare worker will provide childcare.

One childcare worker takes care of each of three children aged 0 to 2 years. In addition, when there is an assistant, one childcare worker and one assistant provide childcare for 5 children aged 0 to 2 years.

All nursery teachers

More than 2/3 nursery teachers
Those who have completed the necessary training other than nursery teachers

Home-based childcare workers and assistants
※A certain level of training is required

(In some cases, school lunch may be brought in from partner facilities.)

(However, until FY2019, there may be cases where you bring a lunch box or carry it in outside due to transitional measures.)


Cooperation facilities

We cooperate with any facility of authorized child institution, kindergarten, authorized nursery school. Cooperation facilities provide support for small-scale childcare businesses such as "support for childcare content", "providing alternative childcare", and "securing advanced destinations after graduation".
However, "Securing advanced destinations after graduation" may not be set as a transitional measure until FY2019.
