About confirmation of drainage plan

1 Overview

Drainage facilities are facilities for drainage that you maintain and manage.
Looking at the ground around the building (it is easy to find if it is a newly built house for sale), there are lids such as a round shape made of concrete or vinyl chloride (in the case of rainwater only, it may be a square iron lattice lid). That is what is called "masu" of drainage equipment. In the meantime, it is basically connected by a pipe, and at the end it is connected (such as a round shape made of concrete or vinyl chloride) to the public sewer.

It is your duty to prepare drainage facilities, and prior to the maintenance of drainage facilities, it is necessary to obtain confirmation from The Mayor of Yokohama that the plan conforms to the provisions of laws and regulations concerning the installation and structure of drainage facilities, etc.
What is created to obtain confirmation is the “Drainage Equipment (wash toilet remodeling) plan confirmation application”.
In the case of detached houses, the application will be submitted to the Public Works Office of each ward.
The application form has "original copy" and "duplicate copy", and after confirmation, the "duplicate copy" with the confirmed mark is returned to the applicant.
Construction of drainage facilities can only be performed by a designated drainage construction shop. (Designated construction shops display "Drainage Equipment Designated Construction Shop Certificate" in an easy-to-see place at the sales office.)

From now on, it will be an explanation of the drainage equipment plan confirmation application ("exclusion").

2 Legal basis for “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan”

When public notice of service start (Sewerage Law Article 9) is made, there is an obligation to install drainage facilities according to Article 10 of the Sewerage Law and connect to public sewage.
Next, those who intend to install drainage facilities must receive confirmation that the plan conforms to the provisions of laws and regulations on the installation and structure of drainage facilities. (Sewerage Ordinance Article 4

3 Confirm procedure of “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan”

The submitted “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan” documents will be reviewed in general according to the following procedure.

4 Change procedure for confirmation of drainage plan

Person who is going to perform new construction such as drainage facilities must receive confirmation of "drainage equipment plan confirmation application (exclusion)" by rule of regulations Article 4. If you want to change the confirmed items, please receive the same confirmation.

If you want to change the drainage area or drainage system after receiving the “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Exclusion)”, create a new “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Exclusion)”, and in the remarks column, You must fill in the confirmation number and the reason for the change, and receive the confirmation again with a duplicate of the original “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Excluded)”.
However, other minor changes can be replaced by correcting the duplicate items of the “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan (Exclusion)”.

5 Completion procedure for confirmation of drainage plan

Upon confirmation of the “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan (Examination)”, the registration form must be submitted within five days from the date the construction is completed (submitted to each Public Works Office). Article 5 of the Ordinance

6 Inspection of drainage plan confirmation

Those who intend to establish new drainage facilities, etc., should be able to confirm in accordance with Article 4 of the Ordinance whether the plan conforms to the provisions of laws and ordinances related to the installation and structure of drainage facilities. There is no provision for inspection.
However, if the inspection is determined by law or rules, it will be performed.
