Confirmation of drainage equipment plan

1 Overview

Drainage equipment is a facility for drainage that you maintain and manage.
If you look at the ground around the building (easy to find in a newly built house for sale), there are lids made of concrete or vinyl chloride (it may be a square iron lattice lid for rainwater only). Is called "masu" of drainage equipment. It is basically connected by a pipe between the masu, and at the end it is connected (such as a round made of vinyl chloride, etc.) to the public sewer.

It is your duty to provide drainage facilities, and before the maintenance of the drainage system requires The Mayor of Yokohama to confirm that the plan complies with laws and regulations concerning the installation and structure of drainage facilities.
What you create to obtain confirmation is the "Drainage Equipment (wash toilet remodeling) plan confirmation application".
In the case of detached houses, the application will be submitted to the Public Works Office of each ward.
The application form includes "original" and "duplicate", and after confirmation, the "duplicate" stamped with the confirmed seal will be returned to the applicant.
Construction of drainage facilities can only be performed by a designated construction shop for drainage facilities. (The designated construction shop posts a “Drainage Designated Construction Shop Certificate” in an easy-to-see place of the sales office.)

2 Legal basis for “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan”

When public notices of service start (Article 9 of the Sewerage Law) are made, there is an obligation to install drainage facilities according to Article 10 of the Sewerage Law and connect to public sewage.
Next, those who intend to install drainage facilities must receive confirmation as to whether the plan complies with the provisions of laws and regulations concerning the installation and structure of drainage facilities. (Sewerage Ordinance Article 4

3 Confirmation procedure of “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan”

The submitted documents for "Drainage Facility Plan Confirmation Application" will be reviewed generally according to the following procedure.

4 Procedures for changing the confirmation of drainage facilities plan

Person who is going to perform new construction such as drainage facilities must receive confirmation of "drainage equipment plan confirmation application (exclusion)" according to rule of regulations Article 4. If you want to change the confirmed matter, please get the same confirmation.

If you want to change the drainage area or drainage system after receiving the “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Execute)”, create a new “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Execute)”. Fill in the confirmation number and the reason for the change, and attach a duplicate of the original “Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation Application (Execute)”.
However, other minor changes can be substituted by correcting the duplicate item of the “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation (Execute)”.

5 Completion procedure for confirmation of drainage equipment plan

After confirming the “Application for Confirmation of Drainage Equipment Plan Confirmation” and submit “registration form” within five days from the date the completion of the construction work (submitted to each Public Works Office). Ordinance Article 5

6 Inspection of drainage facility plan confirmation

Anyone who intends to construct a new drainage system, etc. should receive confirmation as to whether the plan conforms to the provisions of laws and ordinances related to the installation and structure of drainage facilities according to Article 4 of the Ordinance. There is no provision for the inspection.
However, this will be done if the inspection is stipulated by law or regulations.
