Q1 Can you tell me why you wanted to work as a social welfare worker in Yokohama?

I majored in the field of public assistance at university and became interested in the welfare system.
Yokohama is assigned to various fields such as ward offices, entrance facilities and children's guidance office.
While enhancing my professionalism as a social welfare profession, I thought that I could broaden my horizons by collaborating with multiple occupations according to the needs of the fields in which I am involved in.

I was from another prefecture and had no direct connection to Yokohama City, but at a briefing session during job hunting, I learned that Yokohama had been hiring social welfare workers for many years, and that there were many seniors. I was fascinated by the fact that there was an environment where I could "learn" while working, so I wanted to work in Yokohama City. 。

Q2 What is the atmosphere of the workplace where you actually work?

The current workplace is a small workplace, but it is an environment where you can easily consult and borrow wisdom, surrounded by very dependable seniors.
It's the first year of the transfer, so I'm actually having fun work because I can care about anything in trouble. I'm really grateful to the people around me.

children's guidance office has many social welfare workers and works together. There is also an emergency response, which can be difficult or troubled, but it is encouraging to work while following and consulting with each other while supporting each other is encouraging.
In addition, other occupations such as clerical, psychological occupations, and medical occupations also belong, so we share opinions from each viewpoint and work on the work as a team.

Q3 You have experienced two workplaces. What do you feel through the transfer?

Although the environment is different from direct support as a support member of the entrance facility and consultation support as a person in charge of social security, I feel that it is common to each person's life.
At Matsukaze Gakuen, where I was first assigned, the team respected the independence of the user and examined how to make use of the strengths he had.
Even after moving to the Life Support Division, I have considered the strengths of the other party from the perspective of strangs, and have utilized the assistance technology cultivated at Shokaze Gakuen in my current work.

The first life support section provides consultation support for living, from the calculation of protection costs to consultation support, and in the current workplace, determines disability welfare services and provides medical support as mental health welfare consultation.
Since the content of the work in charge changes due to the transfer, it is necessary to learn the system, etc., and it is difficult.
However, more than that, there are many things that can be used in today's workplace, such as how to deal with it learned in the previous workplace and how to proceed with work, and learning as a social welfare worker is deepening. I feel once again that moving and adapting to a new environment has led to my own growth.

In the transfer, I was assigned to a workplace with different fields from the first workplace, and I was worried and anxious that I had to learn work again from scratch.
However, there are many things in common with work attitudes, such as the process of considering support from assessment to support, and I was able to use my experience so far to work on my work.
You can also use the knowledge gained in the previous workplace to think about ways of support, so by experiencing work in various fields through transfer, I think that your drawer will increase your withdrawal.

Q4 What do you think was good and important when you work as a social welfare worker in Yokohama?

If you are unsure about your decision, don't vague, and try to consult and share information around you. In some cases, while being involved in the other person's life and staying close to their lives, sometimes it is not possible to respond according to the other person's wishes. By thinking about how difficult it is for an individual to judge individually, each experience can be utilized and capture things from a new perspective.
I feel worthwhile as a social worker to enrich my range of support through my accumulated experience in team support.

In support, I can share my feelings with the other person, and when the situation improves even a little, I feel joy and rewarding. Sometimes it doesn't work, but using it as a food is often my own experience.
In addition, we always value "reflecting". I meet a variety of life through my work. Sometimes you face difficulties that you have never experienced in your life.
Yes, there is.
I try to accurately measure each person's feelings and try to respond while objectively considering my own behavior.

For those involved, I would like to provide support for those who are involved in the project, which can act in a slightly better direction.
Especially in children's guidance office, there are occasions when it is necessary to take measures that do not conform to the wishes of the individual or family, but when the child smiles are repeated, it feels rewarding when the child smiles are repeated.
Every day, I realize the importance of continuing to face the other person seriously and to work on my work while always looking back on my own method and working on my work while improving myself.
