How to recycle personal computers
Last Updated June 29, 2022
PCs (main units and displays) that are no longer needed at home are collected and recycled by each manufacturer based on the Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources. Please contact the manufacturer directly.
For home-made PCs and PCs from overseas manufacturers that have withdrawn from Japan, the Personal Computer 3R Promotion Association (Phone number 03-5282-7685).
Peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, keyboards, and word processors, are not covered byoversized garbageburnable garbage.
In addition, products that operate on electricity and batteries, such as PCs with a length of less than 30 cm that enter the slot (30 cm x 15 cm) can be taken out in the small home appliance collection box installed in the city.
Remove the battery in the special box installed at the ward office, collection office, etc. of each ward before inserting it.
In addition, please refer to the following related QA for PCs that are no longer needed at business sites.
