A

Paid nursing homes are residential facilities for the elderly, and provide one of the services of (1) providing meals, (2) bathing, excretion or nursing care for meals, (3) housework or health management such as washing and cleaning.

Type of facilities

It is classified into three types: "with nursing care", "housing type", and "health type".
The nursing homes with nursing care are designated by the The Long-term Care Insurance operator, and if they need nursing care, they can use the nursing care services provided by the facility (“The Long-term Care Insurance Service”).
Residential-type paid nursing homes provide services such as life support, and use services such as home-visit care when nursing care is required.
